About Mahima

Mahima has completed her training in Schema Therapy from ISST accredited Schema therapy training institute, Australia and is currently pursuing certification in the same. Mahima has completed level 1 and 2 of clinical training in Gottman's Couples Therapy, trained by Dr. Penner - clinical director of the Gottmans institute. She has also completed Level 1 certification in Play Therapy. She has done a course in Disaster Counselling from University of Mumbai and has been trained in REBT for children. Mahima’s interest in energy psychology and healing has included certification in level 1&2 of Reiki and training in various other healing modalities. Mahima has attended the 10 days Vipassana Meditation course and brings the learnings into her personal and professional life.

Mahima is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP), is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). Mahima is also part of the core committee heading the Clinical Psychology Special Interest Group for the SPS. She is a trainer for EFT and facilitates workshops and camps on topics involving personality and self-development, communication and social skills, parenting, stress-management and other relevant topics.

Mahima has many years of clinical experience in psychological assessment (educational and personality), counselling and therapy. She has a special interest in inner child work and positive psychology. Mahima works with adolescents and adults in individual, couple, family and group therapy setups. She has also worked part time as an external school counselor in an international school in Singapore.

Mahima provides consultations in English and Hindi. She uses Schema therapy, Inner child work, REBT, CBT, Positive Psychology, Play therapy, Mindfulness based techniques, Regression, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Clinical Hypnotherapy employing a client centred, action oriented, psycho-spiritual therapeutic style. Mahima has worked with Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Body image, Relationship issues, Psychosomatic concerns, Adjustment, Self-esteem, Communication, Social and Parenting skills, Anger and Stress management, Personal development and Healing among other areas.
